ERO SOFT L MONO Beige – Test Prototype is a new dog car seat created to test a new fabric and an alternative interior construction.
The seat is designed for the rear bench and is suitable for dogs up to 25 kg, such as Whippets, English Bulldogs, Medium Schnauzers, or Corgis. It provides stable support and a sense of security during travel.
This version features a waterproof test fabric in mono beige. The material is durable, resistant to daily use, and helps protect your car upholstery from dirt and moisture.
This prototype does not include YKK zippers. However, all seams and fastenings have been carefully checked, and the construction is fully functional and safe.
The key structural difference concerns the central cushion. In this prototype, it is not a separate removable element. The middle section is sewn together with the rest of the seat and filled from the bottom, just like the side panels. This creates a stable and cohesive shape.
The seat includes an opening for a safety belt. The product is new, unused, and fully covered by the BeBobi warranty.

The seat belt buckle is a standard component that fits most cars; however, exceptions may occur, especially with middle seatbelt sockets in the back seat and older Volvo models (produced before 2012).

For sizes S and M, the seat can be installed on both the front seat or the back seat. In both cases, it attaches using an adjustable strap around the headrest, plus an additional adjustable strap around the front seat or split back seat (typically one smaller and one larger section—ideal for placing the seat on the smaller section).
Size L is only for the back seat. Like sizes S and M, it secures around the headrest and seat, but it also features a strap for the front headrest for added stability.
When choosing size M, it’s best to consider your dog's weight. Size M is suitable for dogs up to 12 kg or for two small dogs. It's perfect for breeds like:

Size M is the most popular because it offers extra room for smaller dogs to stretch out comfortably. If your dog is slightly over 12 kg (by 2-3 kg), size M can still work. It's especially convenient for switching between the front and back seats. In this case, your dog might fit snugly, which could help them feel more secure during the trip. The soft sides allow your dog to comfortably rest their head or paws. So, size M is a versatile option, combining comfort and practicality for various breeds.
The seat size is based primarily on your dog’s weight, not the car model. Our seats fit most cars due to the adjustable straps around the headrest and seat. For reference, the standard width of front seats in most cars is 50-60 cm, which corresponds to size M (size S is smaller). Size L is only for the back seat to provide your dog with adequate space.
Yes, every car seat purchase includes a separate safety belt. The seat has a special opening for the belt to pass through, allowing you to clip it directly into the car's seatbelt socket. This setup prevents the belt from running outside the seat, which could encourage your dog to jump out. By securing the belt inside, your dog stays safely in place. Our belts aren’t permanently sewn into the seat because we believe a separate, clip-in belt is a safer option. The belts are strength-tested and certified by an accredited lab.
No, size L is not suitable for front seats. Its width is 75 cm, while the average width of a front seat is about 55 cm. Size L is designed specifically for the back seat, providing plenty of space for your dog.
Our car seats are made from a variety of fabrics: two types of velour (recycled and waterproof) and two types of synthetic Oxford fabric with a PU coating (available in both printed and solid colors).
All of our fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified and meet REACH standards, ensuring safety and high quality. REACH guarantees that the chemicals used in the fabric production are registered, assessed, and controlled for their impact on health and the environment. Both types of velour are also Petproof certified, meaning they're resistant to scratches from your dog's paws.
Here’s a breakdown of the fabrics:
- Waterproof Velour with Hydrophobic Coating: Thicker and super soft, this fabric has short fibers and feels plush, offering comfort for your dog. It’s water-resistant, with liquids beading up on the surface, but if pressed (for example, by your dog’s body), moisture may eventually soak through. However, it’s still easy to clean and resistant to moisture.
Note: The beige and gray colors are lighter than the recycled versions. - Recycled Velour: This eco-friendly option is made from recycled fibers. It’s thinner than the waterproof velour but still soft and comfortable for your dog.
Note: The beige and gray colors are darker compared to the waterproof version (the beige is a melange with gray tones). - Oxford with PU Coating: Available in printed and solid versions, Oxford fabric is soft to the touch and flexible despite its PU coating. The coating makes it waterproof, providing extra protection. The dyes used for prints are eco-friendly, ensuring the fabric is safe for both dogs and the planet. Oxford fabric is durable and comfortable for your dog.
All cushions in the car seat are removable, making cleaning easier. The sides can be unzipped, and the main cushion has its own zipper for separate cleaning if needed. After removing the filling, we recommend spot cleaning by hand, but machine washing on a delicate cycle (up to 30°C, with a spin cycle of 600 RPM max) is also possible.
It’s best to clean off dirt, like mud, immediately with a damp cloth. If the dirt dries, wait for it to fully dry, then gently brush off the dried particles before using a wet cloth.
Remember:
- Avoid tumble drying; lay flat to dry and avoid direct sunlight.
- Don’t use bleach or harsh chemicals.
- Don’t iron the seat.
When machine washing, use suitable detergents to protect the fabric and your pet’s health. Here are some tips:
- Hypoallergenic detergents: Choose those free of harsh chemicals.
- Eco-friendly detergents: Look for products free of phosphates, artificial dyes, and fragrances.
- Fragrance-free detergents: Good for dogs with sensitive skin.
- Pet-safe disinfectants: Ensure they don’t leave harmful residues.
