KUKO+ comes in three sizes, so you can find the right fit for anything from a small city car to a large SUV. The two key measurements are the width of your rear seat and the space between the front and rear seats.

KUKO+ sizing is based primarily on your car, not your dog’s weight.

Size S is designed for smaller city cars, M fits most standard-sized cars, while L is made for larger, wider vehicles.

Its modular design lets you fold away part of the hammock to free up a seat for a passenger. There’s no need to remove the entire car hammock every time someone else needs to ride in the back.

We designed it this way for a reason – and we’ve been using this solution in our car hammocks since 2017.

Unlike hammocks suspended on narrow straps, our fitted headrest covers spread the load evenly across the headrests. This helps keep the hammock securely in place under your dog’s weight, without relying on straps that can stretch, slip or eventually break.

In all the years we’ve used this design, we haven’t had a single complaint about this part of the construction. If you’ve owned a traditional strap-mounted hammock before, you may already know how frustrating stretched straps, slipping fabric or broken fastenings can be.

We particularly recommend this design for larger dogs and when using the rigid floor option, as dogs can comfortably use the extended area above the rear footwell.

The covers also do more than support the hammock. They protect the headrests from fur, drool and dirt, while keeping the hammock high against the seat back so the entire rear seat stays covered and protected.

If you want to create a firm, stable surface for your dog, choose the complete set: KUKO+ car hammock + mattress + rigid inserts.

The rigid panels slide into dedicated pockets inside the mattress rather than into the hammock itself. We designed it this way deliberately.

It means you can simply remove the mattress and wash it separately without taking the whole hammock out of your car. The mattress sits directly underneath your dog, so it also protects the part of the hammock that gets the most dirt and everyday wear.

The mattress is designed specifically for KUKO+, so it stays securely in place. Together with the rigid inserts, it creates a stable surface that extends over the rear footwell. Stitched channels in the mattress help trap sand, fur and small bits of dirt instead of letting them work their way onto your seats.

And if you ever fancy a change, you can buy a mattress in a different colour and give your KUKO+ a new look without replacing the entire hammock.

Yes. We specifically selected and designed the rigid panels to provide stable support for even very large dogs. They’re not off-the-shelf inserts – we tested the construction under substantial real-life loads before putting it into production.

Our testing included one dog weighing 49 kg, as well as two dogs weighing approximately 35–40 kg each using the floor at the same time. The structure remained stable under these conditions.

This gives your dog a firm surface to stand, sit or lie on, including the section that extends over the rear footwell.

The rigid floor provides extra space, stability and comfort, but it does not replace a proper safety restraint. Your dog should always travel secured with a suitable safety belt attached to a harness.

Yes. Every KUKO+ comes with a BeBobi dog safety belt, so there’s no need to purchase one separately.

The belt helps limit your dog’s movement around the car while travelling. Always attach it to a properly fitted harness – never to your dog’s collar.

Yes. KUKO+ is designed so you can also use restraint systems that connect directly to your car’s seat belt, including crash-tested dog car harnesses.

If you’re looking for a higher level of protection in the event of a collision, we recommend using a properly tested car harness designed for this purpose.

Importantly, using the car’s seat belt doesn’t prevent you from fastening the side panel that protects the door. You don’t have to choose between protecting your car and securing your dog properly.

For everyday cleaning, simply shake out or vacuum the hammock and wipe away mud or other marks with a damp cloth.

When it needs a deeper clean, KUKO+ can occasionally be machine washed on a gentle cycle. Make sure you remove all rigid inserts first.

Do not tumble dry. Leave the hammock to air dry flat and keep it away from strong, direct sunlight.

For the longest possible fabric life, we recommend regular vacuuming and spot cleaning rather than frequent machine washing.

No problem. A standard, unused KUKO+ can be returned or exchanged in line with our store’s returns policy.
